Port of Echuca Celebration Heritage Steam Festival

'Experience the fun of a bygone era through two magical days, showcasing the change in transport during the past 100 years. The festival is held in the Port percinct offers free entertainment for people of all ages. Visitors will be shown a time when the wharf and surrounding area was the busiest inland port in Australia. Exhibits include steam engines, horse-drawn carriages, paddlesteamers, vintage cars and tractors.
Enjoy old fashioned children's games, woodturning, blacksmithing and wool spinning demonstrations, street theatre and enjoy food and wine from the region's top resturants and wineries.
Saturday evening will showcase the region's fleet of paddlesteamers as they steam the river together in a Sailpast followed by a grand finale of fireworks, viewable from Echuca Wharf.'

"The YMCA Sweat v's Steam is a 13km fun run, racing against the world's oldest wooden hulled paddlesteamer - the PS Adelaide.
Come along and compete in this unique footrace along the Murray River.
Non-paticipants can enjoy both the thrill of the run and the scenery by actually being aboard the PS Adelaide or PS Pevensey to watch the race."

CARnival May 2011
The confederation of Australian Motorsport will stage Australia's first major national motoring and motor sport festival taking place in the Echuca-Moama region May 2011.
CARnival will be the largest national car club gathering ever staged in Australia and will become an annual festival celebrating our enjoyment of all types of motor vehicles.
The Shannons CARnival Show & Shine, staged on the grassy banks of the Murray River, will feature up to 2,000 vehicles and will be the centerpiece and visual highlight of the CARnival Motoring and Motorsport Festival.
Participants will also be able to take part in a wide range of events, from 'Fun-Khanas' involving the whole family, to more competitive Motorkhanas on sealed and unsealed surfaces, an airfield Speed Event and Standing 400 metre Sprint, two Auto Tests, a multi-stage gravel Rally Sprint and a twilight navigation touring event on local roads.
